Other DayZ Buttstocks like the KA 74 Wooden Buttstock

Bizon Buttstock

The only buttstock for the Bizon on vanilla DayZ servers. No other buttstock attaches to the Bizon. Buttstocks provide nice stats, making them well worth attaching where possible.

KAS 74U Buttstock

The AKS 74U doesn't allow a handguard attachment like other AK variants. Spawns as standard on the AKS 74U.

KA Folding Buttstock

The AK Folding Buttstock is one of the best buttstocks for reducing sway, but isn't great at reducing recoil. This buttstock cannot fold, at least in the vanilla version of the game.

KA Polymer Buttstock

Spawns as standard on the AK101. Lighter than other AK variant attachments.

KA Wooden Buttstock

The standard buttstock attachment for the AKM/KAM. Heavier than most of the buttstocks in DayZ.

LAR Folding Buttstock

Doesn't usually spawn on the LAR/FN FAL. One of the heavier buttstocks in DayZ.

LAR Polymer Buttstock

The standard buttstock attachment for the LAR/ FN FAL.

M4 CQB Buttstock

Doesn't spawn on the M4A1.

M4 MP Buttstock

Doesn't spawn on the M4A1.

M4 Telescopic Buttstock

Spawns as a standard attachment on the M4A1. Does not have a telescopic function.

SG5 K Folding Buttstock

The only buttstock for the MP5/SG5-K on vanilla DayZ servers. Buttstocks provide nice stats, so this is worth attaching where possible.

Vaiga Buttstock

The Vaiga/Saiga Buttstock reduces the recoil of this shotgun considerably. This is because recoil reduction on buttstocks is percentage based, and the Vaiga is one of the most recoil heavy weapons to use. This buttstock is almost vital if you wish to use full auto with the Vaiga.

DayZ Weapon Buttstocks

Buttstocks in DayZ reduce the recoil and sway of a weapon in DayZ but only on firearms that allow the attachment of buttstocks to begin with. This means weapons like the LAR can have lower recoil and sway by simply attaching the buttstock attachment to it. Different buttstocks have different stats in DayZ.

Butt stocks are weapon parts that sit against the shooter's shoulder. They aid with the weapon's control and accuracy. They attenuate recoil and let the shooter to keep his or her sights on the target while firing. They also offer a more comfortable grip and aid the shooter in maintaining control of the weapon.

Weapon buttstocks can be built of a number of materials, including wood, metal, plastic, and composites. Different materials provide varying levels of durability, comfort, weight, and other characteristics, therefore the optimum option is determined by the user's demands and preferences. Wood stocks are traditional and light, but metal stocks are heavier but more sturdy and resistant to wear and tear. Plastic stocks are less expensive and lighter, but they are not as durable as metal, whereas composite materials combine strength, light weight, and resilience to wear and tear.

About DayZ Weapon Attachments

Weapon attachments in DayZ can also impact weapon stats significantly, adding an element of customisation when selecting your weapon loadout.

DayZ Attachments vary a lot, but can be categorised into 6 different weapon attachment categories. These include Optics/Sights, Muzzles, Buttstocks, Handguards, Other and Magazines.

A single DayZ Weapon Attachment won't make much of a difference to your weapon unless it's an optic for improving weapon zeroing, or a muzzle for reducing your weapon sound.

Devices that can be attached to a firearm to improve its performance or increase its versatility are known as firearm attachments. A few examples of typical firearm attachments are:

Sights: These accessories, which can be attached to a gun's top or side, assist accuracy by giving the shooter a more accurate means to aim at the target. Iron sights, red dot sights, holographic sights, and scope are just a few examples of the various types of sights.

Scopes: When shooting from a distance, these accessories magnify the target and improve accuracy. Variable, fixed, and night vision scopes are just a few examples of the various types of scopes.

Silencers: These add-ons are used to lessen the sound that a gun makes when it fires. They function by capturing and delaying the expanding gases that are generated when the firearm is shot, which lessens the deafening noise.

Flashlights: The shooter can see better in poor light thanks to this addition. They can be fixed to the weapon itself or to a different rail.

Laser Sights: These add-ons are used to aid the shooter in aiming at the target. A laser beam that they direct at the target can be used to aim even in dim lighting.

Bipods: When shooting from a prone or seated position, a bipod is utilized to create a sturdy platform for the rifle.

Grips: These add-ons are designed to increase accuracy and control by giving the user a better grip on the gun.

Buttstocks: These add-ons are meant to make the shooter more comfortable, which can enhance accuracy and control.

Each of these attachments has unique characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages. For instance, scopes offer magnification but can be cumbersome and heavy; silencers reduce noise but may be prohibited in some places; and a flashlight can be useful in poor light but may also reveal the location of the shooter.

In general, the type of firearm, the intended application, and the shooter's preferences will all influence the attachment decision. There are accessories that can be used for hunting, target shooting, and self-defense.
