Mushrooms are awesome

Mushrooms are awesome

DayZ Tip

When cooked, mushrooms make for one of the best foods in the game for energy and hydration, and they're incredibly easy to get too from forests... Here are the stats:

Raw: 120 Energy + 195 Hydration
Baked: 300 Energy + 500 Hydration
Boiled: 250 Energy + 600 Hydration
Dried: 250 Energy + 105 Hydration

Baked is the best for energy and is easy to cook with a sharp stick, which can be sharpened with a small stone found on trails and train tracks. Place the stone in your hand and find a boulder to make a knife.
With a knife, long wooden stick(sharpened) and easy to get mushrooms, staving off hunger shouldn't be a problem.
