Blood splats appear on the ground when when any player is shot in DayZ.
A blood splat on the floor will disappear after exactly 2 minutes and 30 seconds after the player was shot.
If you see a blood splat on the floor, assume the person that shot them is very close by.
Blood on the floor fades away over 10 seconds after this 2:30 timer is hit.
