DayZ Tip
I logged into DayZ to find the pumpkins I used in a thumbnail had not ALL gone rotten, but instead became dried themselves.
After looking in the game files, raw fruit and veg has a 43% chance to dry once its raw decay timer reaches 0.
This means you don't have to cook fruit/veg to preserve them, you can just store them raw at the cost of losing ~50% of them to rot.
