The 22 Rounds are the weakest ammo type in DayZ, but can quickly increase blood loss against unprotected players. The .22 Rounds are very quiet and light for a lower caliber round. The .22 Rounds are considered a light ammo type and will not stun infected.

The iconic 357 rounds in DayZ have moderately good stats and very high damage for a pistol caliber bullet. These rounds are considered the best ammunition of the lower caliber firearms of DayZ. The .357 Rounds are considered a heavy ammo type and will stun infected.
The .380 Rounds are one of the weaker pistol caliber rounds, but like other low caliber bullets, are easy to loot around the map so you won't feel guilty shooting too many of these rounds. The .380 Rounds are considered a light ammo type and will not stun infected.
The .45 ACP bullet flies slowly through the air, but isn't slowed down as much as other pistol caliber rounds. The .45 ACP rounds spawn in several different magazines, so are slightly easy to loot compared to other low caliber rounds. The .45 ACP Rounds are considered a heavy ammo type and will stun infected.
9mm rounds deal good damage for a smaller caliber, but is slowed down faster due to strong air resistance on the bullet. 9mm rounds are commonly looted due to them being compatible with more magazines. The 9mm Rounds are considered a light ammo type and will not stun infected.
The smaller caliber rounds in DayZ that are commonly used by Pistols and Sub Machine Guns. While the firearms that use these low caliber bullets provide low damage and range capabilities, they are a common looted ammunition in DayZ.
Ammo types in DayZ can be split into several different ammo categories that are as follows: Pistol Caliber, Intermediate Caliber, Rifle Caliber, Shotgun Shells and Projectiles.
DayZ ammo types have a lot of stats that impact how the ammo will perform with the weapon it goes with. Based on these stats, choosing the right ammo type with your weapon can make a big difference.
